What more can be said about this new James Bond Movie?
That it is based on the first book in the series chronologically? It's been said (in this Movie we learn how Bond earned his 00 classification, but for some reason it takes place in 2006).
That James Bond gets younger and younger while everyone around him (M, poor Q who would have still been with us if he hadn't been killed in a car accident, R who replaced him and became Q - short for Quartermaster) get older? It's been said. By the way, Craig looks much older than Sean Connery looked when he was persuaded to come out of his retirement for Never Say never.
That the Queen attended the premiere (really, does she have no other worries in life)? It's been said.
That the new Bond is blond (See Sean Connery's bald spot)? It's been said. I wonder how long it will last.
That the first Movie adaptation of the novel was a wild parody from 1967 starring Peter Sellers and Woody Allen? It's been said (by the way, that is not true, because there is an earlier version – back in 1954 an actor named Barry Nelson played 007 in a serious and true to the source but abbridged adaptation which was produced as an episode of the show "Climax!" )
That this Movie does not actually have a "Bond Girl"? There are only two female characters - one is a married woman James Bond seduces for information about her husband, but she dies before they can do anything, the second is called Vesper Lind (note the contrived pun on "Moneypenny"), and Bond falls in love with her decides to quit Her Majesty's Secret Service for her – if you recall, Bund already had a true love and he was even married once, but his wife was murdered in "In Her Majesty's Secret Service", the only Movie in which George Lazenby played the role).
I wonder why they turned Craig's Bond into a cross between Schwarzenegger and a faceless robot who can leap tall cranes and scaffolding in a single bound with the unbearable ease of a mountain goat in the opening chase scene of the Movie; You have to be at least Bruce Willis to pull that off – for some reason he is the only one who can convince me he's capable of it could do it (yelling "Yippee-ki-yay" all the way). And why is Craig running around shirtless (he does show off a well-built body) more than all previous Bonds in all the previous Movies put together?
