M was portayed by Edward Fox.

He played M as a bureaucrat who felt contempt for Bond - a far cry from the relationship shared by Bernard Lee's M and Sean Connery's Bond; Academic Jeremy Black points out that the disdain felt for Fox's M's 00 Section was reciprocated by Connery's Bond. Fox's M is also younger than all previous incarnations. Academic James Chapman notes that while M sees Bond as an obsolete relic, the Secretary of State orders the reactivation of the 00 Section.

Q was portayed by Desmond Llewelyn.

Moneypenny was portayed by Pamela Salem.

The Main villain was Maximillian Largo, portayed by Klaus Maria Brandauer.

His evil plan was to aid General Orlov in his plan, in exchange for being paid in jewels stolen from the Kremlin.

The jewels are recovered by the KGB.

Attempts to escape in his plane, but Bond disables the left engine of the plane, causing Khan to crash it into a mountain.

The theme song, Never Say Never Again, was performed by Lany Hall.
